Selling on Layra

Layra is a community-led marketplace for pre-loved South Asian occasion wear. To keep our space safe, respectful and beautiful, all sellers should follow the guidelines below.

Make a Seller account

In order to sell on Layra, make sure you create a seller account. Click on the 'Sell with us' tab to create your profile.

Make sure you have a Paypal account - this ensures smooth payments to your account

What You Can Sell

You can list:

• Bridal/ Wedding outfits
• Festive outfits- Eid, Divali, Holi, Garba etc.
• Party & special occasion wear
• Jewellery, dupattas & accessories

Items must be:
✔ Clean
✔ In good condition
✔ Authentic
✔ Ready to be worn again

We do not allow counterfeit items or heavily damaged pieces.

Approval

Once you upload your items, we’ll review them to make sure they meet our criteria. If everything looks good, we’ll approve the listing and it will go live for customers to view. If any changes are needed, we’ll leave a note in the Merchant and Vendor Remarks box — so keep an eye out for updates. You can find our criteria below.

Listing Rules

1. Photos

You must upload:
• Clear front & back photos
• Close-ups of embroidery/details
• Any flaws or wear
• Natural lighting preferred

Your photos should show the real condition of the item — no heavy filters.

2. Descriptions Must Include:

• Size
• Condition (New / Gently Worn)
• Original brand (if known)
• Any alterations
• What event it was worn for (optional but encouraged)

Honest listings = trusted community.

3. Pricing

Set a fair resale price.
Remember — pre-loved pieces sell best when priced with care.

Commission & Fees

Layra charges a simple commission to keep the platform running.

• Standard commission: 15% per sale
• No monthly fees
• No listing fees

Commission is automatically deducted when your item sells.

How Shipping Works 

Once your item sells:

1. You’ll receive a shipping label via Layra

2. Print off label and pack your item securely

3. Drop it at your local Evri parcelshop 

4. Evri tracks the delivery

5. Buyer receives the item

6. Your payment is released

Easy, protected, and fully tracked.

Payments

• Payments are held securely
• Released once delivery is confirmed
• Paid directly to your connected Paypal or Bank account 

Returns & Issues

If you accept a return, Layra automatically deducts:
• Shipping costs
• Layra’s service fee
before processing the refund.

Layra may step in to help resolve any issues.

Community Respect

Layra is built on trust, respect and culture appreciation.
We do not tolerate:
• Fake items
• Misleading listings
• Abusive behaviour
• Scams

Accounts violating policies may be removed.
